Here are various examples of some good Physics Notebooks:
- This is now required. You need to clearly mark (IN COLOR!) the packet # in which you are working.
- Notice the upper left corner.
- Zach Johnson’s notebook. Zach was a 330 lb football lineman (now plays for the University of Houston). He was also a hell of a note taker. He also loved McDonalds.
- Nice cover sheet for Packet 4. Remember, in 2012, you will need to have a cover summary sheet.
- Every Packet needs to start with a cover Summary Page.
- Creative, fun to grade. Makes Physics colorful. Heck, why not?
- This is one of the options for how you let me know which page to turn to so I can start grading whatever packet we’re on.
- This looks easy to study in my opinion. I would award it 3.5 credits.
- Solid work.
- Students add history to their notes. Why you ask? Because you get to use your notebook on the part of the test that has history questions. One thing though . . . your notes must be hand written, you can’t copy it off the internet and just tape it into your notes.
- This page has it all: Organized, neat, colorful, well thought out. I would give it 3 to 3.5 credits.
- These two pages would combine to net 7 credits. Good detail, a splash of color where needed, good organization. This student means business.
- I would give this page 2.5 credits.
- Trust me, I notice when you take your time. Do you realize that you can get up to a 120/100 on notes for each package?
- As I am reading along in these notes, I would give this student 6 or 7 credits for these two pages.
- I definitely know this student is on Packet 2 notes!. Also, notice that she taped just the part of HUW that applied to these notes.
- Be Bold in your note taking!
- How the Universe Works (HUW) pages printed off the internet can be taped into your notebooks. You get one credit for every page you tape in. You get more credits if you cut the page up and tape it into the corresponding parts of the notes.
- Some students go back and rewrite their notes. Although not required, this helps organize your thoughts and points out areas of weakness.
- Color is always a nice touch and gets you extra points.
- Start every new packet in your notebook with a bang if possible!
- 6 credits here
- Some of you are artists!
- textbook quality on some of these!
- now that is dense notes. This page got 6 credits
- creative is good
- outstanding!
- this page is worth 6 credits
